Petra Wenstedt-Pulles and her daughter Leoni attended the dedication of the national WWII memorial in Washington D.C. in May 2004.
The AWON organisation (American WWII Orphans Network) held their annual reunion at the same time and had honored Petra to make
a presentation during this weekend.

During the summer, there was the dedication of a monument inNetersel, The Netherlands. This monument honors the crew of a British bomber
plane which crashed there in 1942 after being hit by flak on the way back to England after a bombing raid over Germany.
Master of ceremonies for this event was Petra Wenstedt-Pulles. Even 62 years after the event, hundreds of people attended both church service
and dedication.
